Pastel Abstract Blossom Viscose Dress Fabric

Blurred blossom shapes in blush, sage, charcoal and cream, layered over each other in a soft camouflage-like arrangement. There are no hard edges, so the print moves with the drape of the cloth.

The cloth is a drapey viscose, 60 inches (152cm) across, cool to wear and light enough for layering. It sews best with a fine needle and a little patience at the cutting table, and the results are worth it on flowing shapes.

What to make with it: Suits floaty dresses, wide trousers, scarves, blouses and layered summer pieces.

Because viscose is a regenerated cellulose fibre it breathes like cotton while draping like silk, which is an unusual combination at this price. It is the reason so many summer dress patterns specify viscose, rayon or challis on the back of the envelope.
