Viscose is the fabric photographs are worst at describing. What matters is the drape, the way it falls in soft vertical folds instead of standing away from the body, and the cool slippery handle that separates it from cotton. None of that comes across on a screen. Hold a swatch and you will know in seconds whether it is right for what you are making.

Who it is for: Useful if you are cutting a tiered dress, palazzo trousers, a jumpsuit or anything where the pattern relies on the cloth hanging rather than holding its shape.
