Teal & Ochre Circles Viscose Dress Fabric

Concentric dotted circles in teal, ochre and turquoise on a charcoal ground, drawn in a style borrowed from Aboriginal and African textile traditions. A geometric rather than a floral, and a useful contrast in the range.

It is printed on a soft viscose that falls in a genuinely fluid drape rather than standing away from the body, and it comes 60 inches (about 152cm) wide. That combination of drape and width is what makes viscose the default choice for tiered and gathered styles.

What to make with it: Strong on shift dresses, wide trousers, kimono jackets, headwraps and tote bags.

Viscose is the fibre most commonly used for the flowing tiered dresses and wide trousers that dominate UK high-street summer ranges, and buying it by the metre is considerably cheaper than buying the finished garment. It is worth understanding its behaviour before you cut.

  • Fabric: Viscose
  • Width: 60 inches / approx. 152cm
  • Print: Teal & Ochre Circles
  • Price: £7.49 per metre
  • Sold by: the metre, cut as one continuous length

Pre-washing before cutting means any shrinkage happens before the garment is made rather than after. Fabric is sold and cut by the metre in one continuous length, and 6x6 inch samples are available if you would rather check the colour and handle in daylight before committing.

Fabric Information
We do our best to accurately identify and describe all fabrics based on our experience within the textile industry, supplier information, and customer feedback. As some fabrics are sourced from various suppliers and may not always come with detailed manufacturing specifications, exact fibre compositions cannot always be guaranteed. Any composition information provided should therefore be considered our best estimate unless otherwise stated. If you require precise composition details for a particular application, please contact us before purchasing and we will do our best to assist. Fabric can be used for Blouses, Dresses, Asian suites.

International Orders
We proudly ship worldwide. While international delivery costs can be higher than UK shipping, larger orders often offer much better value, as the shipping cost is spread across more metres of fabric. Many of our overseas customers choose to combine multiple prints in one order to make delivery more economical.

Care Instructions
To help minimise shrinkage and ensure the best results, we recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before cutting and sewing. As with many natural and regenerated fibres, slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash. Always test a small piece where possible and follow suitable washing instructions for your intended use.

Please note that colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, device, and lighting conditions.
