Brown Paisley Bandana Viscose Dress Fabric

A chocolate-brown paisley medallion and border print on a pale duck-egg ground, drawn with the fine dotted linework of a traditional bandana. The layout gives you a usable border along the selvedge.

The base cloth is viscose, 60 inches (152cm) wide, with the cool, slippery handle and heavy drape that separates it from cotton. It skims rather than holds its shape, so it suits patterns designed to hang.

What to make with it: Made for headscarves, wrap skirts, kimono jackets, wide trousers and blouses.

It moves under the presser foot more than cotton does, so it pays to cut on a flat surface with pattern weights rather than pins, use a fine or ballpoint needle, and let the fabric hang overnight before hemming so the drop settles before you cut the hem.
