Pastel Toile Cotton Dress Fabric

A soft pastel scenic toile in muted lilac, sage and buttermilk, printed lightly enough that the design reads as a wash of colour before you get close. Available across four colourways in the same design.

This is a summer-weight printed cotton in a generous 60-inch (152cm) width. It is breathable, easy to cut and forgiving to sew, which makes it a sensible choice if you are working a pattern for the first time or sewing for children.

What to make with it: Suits nightwear, children's clothing, blouses, quilting and lined home projects.

Cotton remains the easiest fibre to learn on. It does not slip under the presser foot, it holds a pressed crease, and it forgives an unpicked seam far better than viscose or satin, which is why we keep the printed cotton range as broad as we do.
