Five 6x6 inch swatches from our woven jacquard brocade range, labelled with the colourway each one came from.

These are woven fabrics, not printed ones, so the pattern is built into the cloth on the loom and shifts between matt and satin as the light moves across it. A photograph flattens that completely. The weight is the other thing worth feeling, because it is what lets a jacquard hold a collar or a fitted bodice without interfacing.

Who it is for: Order this before buying for occasion wear, Asian suits, waistcoats or a tailored jacket, especially if you are matching a colour to something you already own.
