Bold Daisy Viscose Dress Fabric
Large black and cream daisies with strong outlines on saturated grounds, offered in scarlet, rust orange and a cream-and-black colourway. The scale is much bigger than the rest of the viscose range and the contrast is deliberately high.
This is a lightweight viscose in a 60-inch (152cm) width. It drapes softly, breathes well in heat and gathers into a full skirt without adding bulk at the waist, which is why it works so well for summer dressmaking.
What to make with it: Best on tiered maxi dresses, wide trousers, jumpsuits, kimono jackets and statement blouses.
The reason viscose costs slightly less than cotton but often looks more expensive made up is the drape. It falls in soft vertical folds rather than standing away from the body, which flatters gathered and tiered shapes in a way stiffer cloth cannot.

A pre-wash before cutting allows for any first-wash shrinkage and is worth doing on every dressmaking project. Sold by the metre and cut continuously. Order a 6x6 inch sample first if you would rather see the colour in person before buying a full length.

Care Instructions
To help minimise shrinkage and ensure the best results, we recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before cutting and sewing. As with many natural and regenerated fibres, slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash. Always test a small piece where possible and follow suitable washing instructions for your intended use.
