Olive Abstract Floral Viscose Dress Fabric

Navy and cream abstract floral patches breaking across a chartreuse-olive ground, drawn in a loose, splattered style with no regular repeat. Bold, modern and a long way from a traditional ditsy.

Printed on soft viscose at 60 inches (roughly 152cm) wide, it has a fluid, weighty fall and a smooth finish. A walking foot or a fine ballpoint needle helps if you are new to sewing with viscose, as the cloth likes to shift under the presser foot.

What to make with it: Best on shift dresses, wide trousers, kimonos, jumpsuits and statement blouses.

Viscose rewards a slightly more careful approach than cotton and gives you a much softer finished garment in return. Sharp scissors or a rotary cutter, a fine needle and a lighter hand on the iron are all it really asks for.

We recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before you cut, as some shrinkage is normal on the first wash of any natural or regenerated fibre. The fabric is sold by the metre: order quantity 1 for one metre, 2 for two metres, and the length is cut as one continuous piece rather than separate cuts.
