Sapphire Lotus Satin Jacquard Fabric
Cream and peach lotus flowers floating over a deep sapphire-blue satin ground, with soft shading that gives the blooms a painted, dimensional quality.
A lightweight silk-effect jacquard, 60 inches (152cm) across, with a soft sheen and a fluid fall. It is easier to sew than real silk and considerably easier to look after.
What to make with it: Suits occasion dresses, Asian suits, jackets, waistcoats and evening skirts.
The satin face is what does the work here. It reflects light along the length of a panel, which is why the same fabric can look quite different on a gathered sleeve and on a flat skirt front, and why it is worth cutting all pieces in the same direction.

A pre-wash before cutting is worth the extra step and will save you fitting problems after the garment is finished. Ordering is by the metre and the cloth is cut continuously, so three metres arrives as a single three-metre length. We ship across the UK and worldwide.

Care Instructions
To help minimise shrinkage and ensure the best results, we recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before cutting and sewing. As with many natural and regenerated fibres, slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash. Always test a small piece where possible and follow suitable washing instructions for your intended use.
