Mint & Coral Chrysanthemum Satin Jacquard Fabric

Large coral and blush chrysanthemums with fine linear detailing on a pale mint ground, woven with a satin sheen that makes the flowers lift off the surface. A genuinely decorative fabric rather than a plain background print.

It is a silk-look jacquard with a satin face, woven to 60 inches (about 152cm) wide. The sheen and the woven motif together give it the appearance of a far more expensive silk without the price or the care requirements.

What to make with it: Suits occasion dresses, kimono jackets, waistcoats, Asian suits and evening separates.

Silk-look jacquards solve the usual problem with real silk: the look is there, but the fabric can go through a domestic washing machine and does not water-mark the moment someone puts a glass down near it. For occasion sewing that gets worn more than once, that is a fair trade.
