Blush & Sage Botanical Satin Jacquard Fabric

Pink peonies and grey-green fern fronds on a blush ground, woven with a fine metallic dot outline that gives the motif a beaded look up close. A soft, romantic design with real depth.

Woven at 60 inches (roughly 152cm) wide with a silk-like satin finish, the cloth is lighter and more fluid than a traditional brocade while keeping the woven pattern. Use a fine needle, as satin weaves show needle marks.

What to make with it: Made for occasionwear, kimono jackets, evening tops, dupattas and dressy separates.

Because it is woven rather than printed, the motif has physical depth to it and holds up to repeated wear. Pair it with a plain lining and a fine needle, and it makes up into occasionwear that costs a fraction of the equivalent ready-made piece.

We recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before you cut, as some shrinkage is normal on the first wash of any natural or regenerated fibre. The fabric is sold by the metre: order quantity 1 for one metre, 2 for two metres, and the length is cut as one continuous piece rather than separate cuts.
