White Ditsy on Burgundy Polyester Dress Fabric

Tiny white flower heads packed across a deep burgundy-red ground, so densely that the fabric reads almost as a textured solid from across a room. A very wearable, understated print.

The base is a durable lightweight polyester in a 60-inch (152cm) width. It resists creasing, holds colour without fading and dries quickly, so it earns its place in a wardrobe that gets worn hard.

What to make with it: Suits blouses, wrap dresses, skirts, linings and Asian suits, and it works year round rather than reading as a summer-only print.

Keep the iron cooler than you would for cotton and press through a cloth; beyond that it is an easy fabric to work with. It cuts cleanly, does not fray badly, and holds a machine-stitched hem without puckering.
