Blue Chinoiserie Hydrangea Polyester Dress Fabric

Large blue hydrangeas, peonies and branching stems on a warm cream ground, drawn in a chinoiserie style with layered tonal blues. It is the boldest print in the polyester range and easily the most decorative.

The base is a durable lightweight polyester in a 60-inch (152cm) width. It resists creasing, holds colour without fading and dries quickly, so it earns its place in a wardrobe that gets worn hard.

What to make with it: Strong on kaftans, wide trousers, kimono jackets, cushion covers and curtains where the large repeat can run uninterrupted.

Keep the iron cooler than you would for cotton and press through a cloth; beyond that it is an easy fabric to work with. It cuts cleanly, does not fray badly, and holds a machine-stitched hem without puckering.
