Navy Watercolour Floral Lurex Chiffon Fabric
Inky navy and slate-blue blooms bleeding softly into an ivory ground, overlaid with a subtle metallic lurex thread that catches the light as the fabric moves. The painterly print and the shimmer together give it a genuinely expensive look.
This is a lightweight lurex chiffon at 60 inches (152cm) wide, semi-transparent with a subtle glitter running through the weave. Cut it with a rotary cutter and weights rather than pins, and finish seams with a French seam or a narrow rolled hem.
What to make with it: Made for scarves, dupattas, overlays, evening blouses and floaty layered dresses.
Chiffon is not a beginner's fabric, but the technique is learnable and the results are difficult to get any other way. Cut it flat with weights and a rotary cutter, sandwich it in tissue paper if it fights the machine, and finish with French seams or a narrow rolled hem.

Fabric Information
We do our best to accurately identify and describe all fabrics based on our experience within the textile industry, supplier information, and customer feedback. As some fabrics are sourced from various suppliers and may not always come with detailed manufacturing specifications, exact fibre compositions cannot always be guaranteed. Any composition information provided should therefore be considered our best estimate unless otherwise stated. If you require precise composition details for a particular application, please contact us before purchasing and we will do our best to assist.
We proudly ship worldwide. While international delivery costs can be higher than UK shipping, larger orders often offer much better value, as the shipping cost is spread across more metres of fabric. Many of our overseas customers choose to combine multiple prints in one order to make delivery more economical.
Care Instructions
To help minimise shrinkage and ensure the best results, we recommend washing or pre-treating the fabric before cutting and sewing. As with many natural and regenerated fibres, slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash. Always test a small piece where possible and follow suitable washing instructions for your intended use.
